Individual Trauma Therapy for Adults
A Place to Find Clarity, Courage and Calm.
Sometimes we don’t realize how much our past shapes the way we move through life. The ways we cope, respond to stress, and relate to others often have roots in experiences we’ve lived through—even the ones we thought we left behind.
Over time, this can show up as anxiety, panic, depression, or a deep sense of grief. If you're feeling stuck, disconnected, or overwhelmed, you're not alone—and you don’t have to navigate it on your own.
I help my clients regain a sense of calm, clarity, and empowerment through trauma-informed care. Together we’ll identify negative core beliefs you may have picked up throughout your life. We’ll explore and understand your inner wounds, and build the courage and confidence to face life’s challenges with strength and self-compassion.
What is Trauma?
Trauma is the emotional and physiological response to experiences that overwhelm your ability to cope. It can come from events like abuse, loss, or neglect—or even from feeling unseen, unheard, or under constant pressure in environments where your needs weren’t met.
Whether it happened once or over time, trauma can leave you feeling disconnected and stuck in patterns like emotional numbness, overwhelm, people-pleasing, anxiety, or shutting down. These responses aren’t who you are—they were ways of surviving that may now be getting in the way of living fully.
I work with people navigating a wide range of challenges, many of which are rooted in trauma or shaped by it in subtle ways. You can explore more of what I help with below.
Why does trauma therapy help?
Trauma therapy helps realign your emotions, thoughts, and nervous system. After overwhelming experiences, parts of us can stay stuck in survival mode, reacting as if the danger is still present—even when it’s not.
With trauma therapy, we can help your mind and body recognize that it’s safe now. Therapy helps untangle old beliefs and patterns, so you can feel more confident, connected, and empowered to face life’s challenges.
